Why short games?
Most of us do not have forty free hours. We do have an evening. This site is about the games that fit into one, and about how good they can be.
What we cover
Games you can finish in about four hours or less: stories, puzzles, gentle explorations and comedies. We leave out games built around randomised paid rewards, casino-style mini-games or pay-to-win systems.
How we write
We play each game to the credits, time it, and write a short note about what it is like, who it suits and the mood it leaves you in.
Independence
We buy our own games and accept no payment, keys or gifts. There are no adverts on this site.
